Engagement/Signal Desk

Catch the moment, then work it at a human pace.

Catch the moment, then work it at a human pace.

The Engagement/Signal Desk watches your sources for the thing worth acting on (someone is hiring for the role, an account is warming up before a launch, a competitor just shipped), ranks it above the noise, and then opens a paced engagement cycle for the accounts that matter, so you reach them while the window is open and on a cadence that reads human, not automated. Signal in, paced engagement out, one desk.

THE PROBLEM

People typically run this in two disconnected halves, and the seam between them is where the money leaks. On one side you have listening (a mention tool, a saved search, a spreadsheet of alerts) that tells you something happened but does nothing about it, so by the time you actually reach out the window has closed. On the other side you have sequencing (a cadence tool that fires on a fixed schedule) that engages everyone the same way at the same time regardless of what is actually going on, which both misses the warm accounts and, when you turn the volume up, posts fast enough that the platform flags you. So you either find out too late, or you engage too hard and burn the account. The signal and the action never talk to each other.

HOW IT WORKS

The desk closes that loop on purpose. The signal side scans your sources, collapses the duplicates (same source, same entity, same content), and correlates the weighted series into a ranked map, so what surfaces is the account actually worth a touch this week, not the whole firehose. It specifically watches for the two signals that mean a window is open, pre-posting activity (an account warming up before it launches something) and hiring decision-makers (the person who owns the budget for the role being filled). Then the engagement side takes over: it opens a cycle for that account and paces each action inside its timing window and daily cap, so you stay consistent without ever bursting. An exception watcher sits across the whole thing, so when an account spikes or a priority trigger fires, it gets bumped to the matching response plan instead of waiting its turn in the queue. Every step is audit-logged. Signal decides who and when, the cycle decides how fast, the watcher catches what matters, and none of it moves faster than a human would.

WHAT YOU GET

The listening and the doing, finally on the same desk:

  • a ranked signal feed, deduped and correlated, so you see the accounts worth a touch and not the whole firehose,
  • buying-signal detection, pre-posting activity and hiring decision-makers surfaced specifically, because those are the open windows,
  • paced engagement cycles, each action held inside its timing window and daily cap so you stay consistent without bursting,
  • an exception watcher, so a spike or a priority account gets the matching response plan instead of getting lost in the queue,
  • campaign metrics aggregated, so you can see whether the desk is actually moving accounts, not just touching them,
  • an audit trail, every scan and every engagement logged, so you always know what the desk saw and what it did.

WHO IT'S FOR

Solo founders and small B2B growth teams running signal-led outreach and build-in-public who need to know which accounts to work this week and then work them without burning the accounts. Especially the people who have already lost a warm deal because they found out too late, or throttled an account because their cadence tool did not know when to slow down.

PRICING (the ladder)

  • Solo Desk, a monthly plan for one operator, one signal feed and one paced engagement queue, approve from your phone and let the desk rank and pace the rest.
  • Team Desk, a monthly plan for a small team with a shared signal board, a shared engagement queue, per-account caps, and one combined audit log.
  • Signal-Metered, a value-metered tier priced on signals surfaced and accounts engaged rather than a flat seat, for teams whose volume swings with the season.

Prices are still hypotheses we are testing, not promises. Nothing here is sellable until the desk has actually run against real sources and real accounts with a receipt, and we will tell you which tier you are looking at.

THE PROOF (the dogfood)

We run this on our own outbound. The signal loop watches for the accounts worth engaging (partners warming up like our own Adherent track, roles being hired, pre-posting activity around a launch window), and the engagement loop works those accounts on the same paced, capped, exception-aware cycle. The pipeline we point it at is ours, which is the honest test. And to be straight with you, that live run is founder-gated and credential-gated right now (it needs real source and platform logins, a running system, and a human approving each outward touch), so the receipt that says we surfaced N signals and engaged M accounts and stayed clean is still to come, not already in hand. desk-run receipt to follow

HONEST NOTE

This is a reuse, not a new build. The desk you are reading about already exists inside AYA as the IN-00507 substrate (one workflow line, two governing overlays, ten atoms that were each confirmed on disk before we wrote a word of this page), so we are not promising you something we still have to invent. What we are honest about is the other half: it has not run end to end against real sources and real accounts yet, because that needs live credentials, a booted system, and a human in the loop on every outward engagement, and until that run captures a receipt we call this built and reused, not proven. It is also deliberately not a fire-and-forget bot, the whole point is that it paces and waits and asks, so there is no version of this that quietly works your accounts on its own overnight. You deserve to know the difference between what is standing and what is still to be shown, and that is the line we are drawing.
